CARIBBEAN CUISINE
ABOUT THE CHEF
It all started with one simple request from her grandmother: watch everything I do.
When Andrea was eleven, her grandmother Madeline brought her into the kitchen and asked her to watch. So she did. She watched how Madeline built a pot layer by layer: a little seasoning here, a slow simmer there, never rushing anything that deserved time. Somewhere between the sizzle and that first taste, a lifelong love was born.
Today Andrea cooks the way she was taught, with patience, instinct and a whole lot of heart. One day it’s Jamaican jerk and Haitian griot. The next it’s Southern soul food, a bubbling Italian lasagna or Spanish-inspired comfort. Whatever’s on the stove, every dish carries her signature: flavor layered with care, just like Madeline did it.
She knows her way around a kitchen, and it shows in every bite. For Andrea, cooking isn’t just a job. It’s her love language. Every pan of mac and cheese, every plate of oxtail and every slice of sweet potato pie is her way of saying welcome, you’re family here.
“Cooking is an art. Cooking with love is a special gift, and it’s one you want to share with others.”
THE DREAM
Andrea’s dream is to open her own restaurant in Greenville, North Carolina, and one day bring her table to cities across the country. Every plate you order and every pan you share at your gathering is part of that story. Thank you for being here from the beginning.
